Tanya has worked as a freelance professional Visual Artist / Workshop leader / Project developer since 1990. Her professional arts practice has developed from painting / drawing to digital technology, exploring themes around individualism – pregnancy, disability, Disabled People and perfection through body fascism.
She has and continues to produce and facilitate Visual Arts workshops with Disabled People / Disabled Artists nationally and internationally. Tanya has worked in partnership with LDAF / NDAF / NCH / Tate Britain and the NHS on projects that have been exhibited nationally.
Tanya’s art has been exhibited and published nationally and internationally in Japan. Her work has been informed and has influenced the Disability Arts movement and she has a formidable knowledge of the Disability Arts movement and works towards informing others of its value and place within the Arts of today.

My 2 most recent engagements
Arts Party – A group of 5 Learning Disabled artists developing individual Visual Arts skills through still life / life drawing classes resulting in an exhibition of their “Fruit Family Album” in Telford. Digital Now II – Developed and facilitated 11 Shropshire Disabled Artists and 2 International Disabled Artists creating still and moving images, digital art, based on “Difference”.
