Liz Crow
Liz is a writer-director working in film, audio and print. She works independently, managing her own production company Roaring Girl Productions. Her work has been screened at festivals around the world, broadcast on C4, ITV and Radio 4 and published by Woman’s Press, Disability Press, Wise Press and others in Britain, Spain and USA.
Liz’s work has been described as ‘beautifully directed’, ‘deeply moving and provocative’ and praised for its ability ‘to get under the skin of her subject’.
Integral to her creative work, is 20 years’ experience as a disability equality activist and consultant, managing a range of diverse projects from the smallest scale to teams of 50 people, often within the arts sector.
In September 2004, she was awarded a four-year NESTA (National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts) fellowship to explore ways to combine her creativity within her activism and is also being mentored through the Guiding Lights scheme by Peter Cattaneo (The Full Monty) as she moves towards my first feature film.
